Privacy Policy

This policy covers Chase Ribordy's personal website, including its Vercel-hosted address and ribordy.io when connected. Some contact and email features described below are being developed and may not yet be available.

Information you provide

When you contact me or use an available networking form, I collect the information you submit, such as your name, email address, phone number, interests, message, and event context. Only provide information you want to share for that interaction.

How information is used

I use this information to respond to your inquiry, exchange contact details, remember the context of our introduction, and manage related follow-up. A contact exchange may include a plain-text email and my vCard. Submitting a form does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

Google account access and email

The personal networking integration requests permission to send email from my own Gmail account using the Gmail API's send-only permission (gmail.send). Only I authorize that connection. Visitors do not need to connect their Google accounts. This integration does not request permission to read my inbox, access Google Contacts, or modify existing messages.

Recipient details and message content are passed to Google to send personal networking emails. Automated website or event acknowledgments may use a separate email delivery provider when that feature is enabled.

Service providers and storage

Vercel hosts this website. Contact features are planned to use Google Firebase for backend processing and storage, with Google Sheets as a secondary contact-management copy. Providers process information needed to deliver their services. Hosting and security services may also process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to operate the site and prevent abuse.

Contact details and private networking notes are not public website content. I do not sell your personal information or use data obtained through the Gmail integration for advertising or AI model training.

Retention and your choices

I retain information while it is useful for the interaction or ongoing relationship, unless deletion is requested or retention is otherwise required. You can request access, correction, deletion, or an end to follow-up by emailing me. Requests cover contact-management records; copies in recipients' inboxes are outside my control.
